Radish strawberries

How odd, there are strawberries growing in the radish patch.. completely out of season! They rooted themselves here earlier in the year, and seeing all these red round things growing, thought it was time to also grow red round things! Strawberries that think they are radishes.. tee hee!

Guess what, I have strawberrys growing in one of my hydragena pots. How strange is that? I have no clue how they got there!
I'll send you a mail very shortly with details on our seed swap, okay?

Are you sure they're not everbearing/alpine varieties? I still have some of those in my garden right now!

Love the new header, by the way--great color. :)

No, they aren't alpines. I have had these strawberries for years and years. Rooting new runners and growing them on. They have never grown fruit this late in the year before. Usually they grow in July.
I wonder if this is a mutant offshoot?
