the real windy-willow!
Happy Mothering Sunday. It was a beautiful morning, bright and sunny.
Then out of nowhere, came a wicked wind and snow! I managed to take a pic of my willow blowing crazily in the snow flurries. Then, 5 minutes later, a clear sky again.
Now, an hour later, it's quite cloudy and dismal. What crazy weather!

I only hope it won't freeze anymore ! Here in Belgium a lot of flowers started blooming too but today it's a more than lousy weather, cold, grey, rain and very windy. But you can always hop over and climb on the Waterloo Lion, there are only 257 steps ! I receive the cruise today.
I agree with you the weather is crazy - probably has something to do with the global warming thing. I had read a book several years ago about the weather extremes and changes that they projected would result. I can definitely see changes in the weather in this area.
Even so - I hope that it doesn't freeze again too.
Wishing you beautiful, glorious days ahead
Thank goodness the snow didn't stay! I hope for some better weather there for you...
I am becoming so impatient to see my garden again ... it is still snowed under.
Hi Salix Tree,
Nice action photo of the windy willow!
I've heard of Mothering Sunday but went to look it up, so then remembered it was celebrated on the 4th Sunday in Lent. Human Flower Project has a fine article from March 2005, with a recipe for a fruit-heavy simnel cake. It sounds delicious - did you ever make one?

Yeah, I like the action shot too, as well as the sun substitute yellow of the daffodiles.
Have really enjoyed looking at your garden photos. Our weather is just as crazy...under 2" of snow this morning, then beautiful blue skies, then hailstorms and high winds and on and on and on!
Your new banner is gorgeous! xox
