Maple colors

This maple started life as a "weed" in one of my flower pots. I've got a soft spot for acers, so I let it grow. Now it's a little tree in my back garden's little woods. And it has rewarded me with these most gorgeous colored leaves this autumn.

Wow, that is impressive color! Aren't you glad you saved your volunteer? I tend to save them, too. Lately it's been hollies, and I'm hoping they grow into holly trees and not little holly bushes.

Wow! That's a lovely plant rescue, Silvia!

I've heard that to get the best fall colors you should go shopping for young container trees right when their leaves have turned...your colorful tree delivered itself to your door ;-]

I remember visiting the Adirondak mountains in Fall when the maples, elms, and birches turn dazzling colors. There isn't much dramatic red where I Iive and it is wonderful to see your photos.

Hiya Salix Tree,

Some of the colours are unbelievable this year. Your maple is amazing. That deep pink and bright green together is so striking. And a gift plant at that.
You may have a 'soft spot' for it, but do you have a planting spot as well? They get large ;-)
