April!

It's April! Buds are swelling, and spring flowers are blooming. It's been a lovely weekend so far, and looks to continue.
I mowed the entire lawn yesterday, a big job with a push mower. I usually do a smaller section each day, and then start all over again. But the lawn needed a good mow, and it was nice and warm.

My hyacinths are still blooming, soon they will fade.

Euphorbia looking much like an alien tentacle.

And the forget-me-nots have self sowed themselves all over, and are just beginning to emerge.

Have a lovely Sunday, and enjoy your gardens!

Your plants are lovely! Our spring flowers only just started a week or so ago. The crocus' were first.

I do expect that we might start mowing our lawn earlier this year. When the small bit of snow we got this year melted a few weeks ago the grass was still quite green underneath and seems to be growing already.

Isn't spring a wonderful time of year?

I love the picture of the Euphorbia. It really does look like something alien!

My garden has just emerged from its snow cover and so I can only dream at this point and enjoy seeing pics such as the ones here!!

oh Silvia! =^..^=

How lovely that you came to visit!
I see you have forget-me-nots too ... The tiny blue flowers all over the back lawn in my picture? Most are Forget-me-nots the birds gifted me with (or perhaps it was the faeries? Yes, could have been fae.)

The picture of the 'woodland' you liked is my northside back yard! I swear I bought the cottage because of the garden. Those that know me are laughing ... They know I am serious! I always say I bought a garden with a cottage ::smile::

So wonderful to see your garden ...
I am greedy and can hardly wait to see more.
I simply ADORE your new blog look!
We are so alike, aren't we.

I must dash off to take care of a little something ::peep::peep:: and then return to read of, Elisabet the horse chestnut! How exciting to look forward to her story. I am a tree hugger!

Later gator =^..^= love, zU

Your Euphorbia is really beautiful Silvia, I just bought me another one too! Yes the weather was gorgeous here too, until the change came yesterday and today it's all grey. My Forget me nots are not yet blooming. Let's all hope for good weather for the upcoming Easter weekend! Happy Easter to you! Hugs Carol xox
