Garden Bloggers Bloomday - May

I made a list of flowers in bloom today, and drew little pictures of the three I didn't know the name of. I still don't have my camera, hopefully one of my kids will bring it home over the weeked. Meanwhile, I might just go out tommorro and do a few more sketches, the ones here I did real quick, they deserve a bit more attention!
And pictures will come eventually!

What a pity that your camera is still AWOL but I like the sketch you made! ;-)

That is a respectable list of blooms you have!

BTW there is a little present for you at Bliss. Hope you like it. :-)

I am sorry to hear about your camera, but I really like the way you've presented your blooms for this month. Your sketches are beautiful. Could the first one be Yarrow?

I love your hand-drawn flowers and list of blooms. It's sweet and nice. We can now imagine how wonderful and lush your garden is with all of those flowers!

Thanks for participating in Garden Bloggers' Bloom Day!

Thanks for visiting, ladies.
Christa, I don't think it's yarrow. The images I googled don't have those leaves.

It will be interesting to compare a photo with the sketch, Salix Tree.
I think what you call Rowan is known as European Mountain Ash in the USA... we grew one at each of the three places we lived in Illinois, and my mom had one when I was growing up. The flowers were pretty, but after pollination they smelled pretty funky.
Happy Bloom Day,

I love your sketches! Even more than photos. It just seems so much more personal.

Bird Watcher's Digest recently published some pages from a nature journal that made my jaw drop.
