They are wonderful plants and will accept the poorest of soil and seed themselves about beautifully...I always think the seeds look like little weevils.
I love your Calendula ...especially the cute picture with your feet in it! With the orange type and the orange and yellow blooms, your post is adorable!
I've always felt that way about Calendula too, Salix. Happy and cheerful sums it up!
Delightful!
Calendula`s are nice and have a bright colour. I have sowed them in a big area. But they haven`t started blooming yet...
I harvest and dry them at autumn.
I use them in fish dishes etc.
Enjoy the sight of yours! (:
Wishing you a nice weekend. (:
Calendula is a powerful hurb, i have sowed them.
I make my own calendula cream off them.
Thank you for visit your creative blogg:)
I grew some last year when i had the garden. They never self seeded though for me.My mum's old garden had loads of them. They were devils for self seeding. As fast as she got rid of them they sprung up.The hard curved seeds can lie in soil for years it seems.
I loved the flowers though, so they always have a place in my heart. The leaves are very fragrant oo when crushed...
